In the past week, I've seen drivers stopped at green lights talking on a
cellphone (must have been too much trouble to notice when the light
changed) and traffic backed up behind them (the horns eventually tore
their attention away from the cellphone), drivers on the interstate with
a cellphone held to their ear with one hand while waving their other hand
around to add emphasis to their conversation, and one SUV driver who
made a left turn into a driveway, then started backing out (to turn around)
without noticing the traffic coming from their right (the cellphone was held
to their right ear). When the traffic slammed on their brakes and laid on
their horn, the SUV/cellphone driver turned to their right, saw that the
traffic had managed to stop, then continued backing out across both lanes.
