The observation above was based on experience. No ad hominem. I've
*had* real-time conversations with you. I'd have welcomed a distracting
cell phone call, although the conversation might have been more
interesting had I been able to get more than a word or two of my own in
edge-wise.

Sorry KD. You were never one of 'the more interesting posters'--even
back when you were (marginally) less strident. I've always found your
condescension, and your rare willingness to participate in discussion
(other than in self-initiated subjects)--boring and elitist. If you
search out threads by 'many of the more interesting posters', you'll
realize that they often ridiculed your POV. Some of them might have
been more polite than I; but perhaps it was just their greater capacity
for suffering fools. Have you ever considered that perhaps *you*
contributed to the noise which impelled them to leave; than the reasoned
discourse which might have compelled them to stay?
I miss, as well, some of those to whom (I presume) you refer. Others
are missed little more than will be (have been) yourself.
I'm sure you think little better of me. No surprise there. I'll snipe
you every time you post your smarmy, whining, holier than thou,
superfluous and superficial observation
--no matter under whatever nym
you spew them.
