Most of the post below is complete bullshit, but I'm leaving it in for
the irony, because after blowing hard and tough in it, the poster set
the header so that it wouldn't be archived - he's afraid (pussified?)
about leaving his comments in the various usenet server archives!
Just hilarious! I figure by leaving it intact, I defeat the little
pussy's purpose.

Anyway, the big problem with the bullshit below is that it assumes
things always ought to remain as they were. I'm not a big believer in
the possibility of social progress at all, but progress in the realm
of health and safety is undeniable. Sure, parents used to be "free"
to throw their kids in the car without any kind of restraint, but when
an accident did occur, the kids - and parents - were far more likely
to be killed or seriously injured than they are today. What kind of
value is there in that kind of "freedom", particularly for the kids?
