It sounds like the whole school likely should be shut down; but Charters
are the darlings of many factions on both the left and (especially) the
right. For my money--and it is--charter schools are just a dilution of
public education funds and efforts. If they exist at all, they should
be held to the same standards of discipline as the rest of the district,
with the same oversight.
That doesn't sound like the case here, so the mohawk issue is just a
postscript.
