| It was you that made the assinine statement that only people who live
| below sea level experience flooding, not me.
" During the Gulf Coast hurricanes"
Your relationship to sea
| level is only really important if you're in coastal area,
No I remember 2 floods here in the past 35 years. The one in 1975 washed
away 5 homes that I know of and my sisters home had 4 feet of water in it.
The area at the bottom of my hill is also a flood plain.
which
| Nashville is obviously not -- at least I hope you knew that. For
| people who don't live in a coastal area, a difference in grade of only
| a few feet can have an enormous impact even though they're actual
| altitude and their relationship to sea level may be virtually the
| same.
My son lived in Greenville NC and had 8 feet of water in his townhouse from
hurricane Floyd. That means the Tar River 1 mile away rose 30 feet.
|
| Did you take basic science?
Yes that is why I live on the high ground.

| And you think that eliminates all the possibilities? Boy, take about
| naive. Oh well, you keep voting Republican anyway so science doesn't
| matter.
