Metro Nashville has uniformed police officers patrolling the schools.
Do you consider the Metro Nashville school administration to be stupid
for having those officers there?

While some keep claiming that only the police have the training necessary
to carry guns, they are ignoring the relatively low amount of time police
officers spend being trained how to use their guns (though they do spend
a lot of classroom time going over the legalities of the use of deadly
force).

That article only covers accidents where an officer shot and killed another
officer. It does not cover accidents where officers only wounded another
officer, or accidents where an officer shot and wounded him/herself.

Do a google on accidental shootings involving police officers, and you'll
find a variety of articles, from officers mistakenly identifying kids as a
threat
and shooting them, to an incident where an officer decided to use his taser
on a drunk, but grabbed the wrong item and shot the drunk in the back.

Given the record of officers accidentally shooting innocent people,
themselves, and even other officers, is it smart to turn them loose in the
halls of our schools?

If your answer is yes, then how can you justify saying the teachers
shouldn't
be allowed to be licensed to carry concealed handguns?
