So a police officer with a loaded gun, with a live round in the chamber and
a high capacity magazine (and *no safety*!), in a clearly visible holster
is somehow completely safe and a deterrant to criminal activity in the
school, but a teacher with a state issued carry permit and additional
training required by the school system, with a concealed (to the point that
the school system refuses to identify which teachers might be armed)
handgun is a serious danger to the students and no deterrant to criminal
activity?
