New Computer

Up and running... and of course there were a few lies told. Always are, even
when you stand there and SEE what it is you're asking them to build and send
to you.

It's got everything it claimed to have, save for the motherboard. I have yet
to crack the case open to actually see what it is, but I have serious doubts
that it's an ASUS.

Oh well, still can't beat it for the price. I'm happy.

I'm even relatively pleased with Vista. It's different, but it doesn't suck
too badly... least it ain't ME!

And it IS fast.

Get BelArc Advisor from http://belarc.com/ It is a free download and will tell you just about
everything on your computer, hardware and software with serial and registration numbers.

Run it everytime you install something new. It will even keep track of Microsoft updates.

Good advice. Belarc Advisor is a great program. I ran it recently on
my system and discovered that one of my hard drives had triggered the
SMART alert. Further checks show that this drive will probably fail
soon so hopefully I can get it replaced before losing anything.

It is good advice. I've actually used Belarc in the past, but had lost track
of it. I'll go get a copy tonight.
