| At least Gore got out of the country...went to a little SE Asian
| country,
For 6 months with a personal body guard.
while Bush played at being a jet-jockey. You might say Al had
| a 'cush' assignment in 'nam; but at least it 'was' Vietnam. I wasn't
| aware until recently that Bush had little foreign travel before his
| election. It explains a lot.

| Personally, I don't understand why people with the means to do so, don't
| travel abroad. I thought I was pretty worldly and well-read; but
| traveling to Europe totally changed my perspective on many things. It's
| just ludicrous to think that a person can be 'world leader' if all
| they've ever seen of the world is their own back yard.
