| Intelligent design isn't even a scientific-based theory that has any
| kind of wide acceptance. For the record, I know the various levels on
| the ladder on the way to establishing a scientific law.
|
| It's true that evolution is not a law, but there are far more concrete
| things that one can point to in explaining its relevance than
| intelligent design.

|
| That has nothing to do with advocating abortion. I wholeheartedly
| believe it's a selfish act to have children late in life because it's
| a medical fact that maladies like Down's Syndrome are far more likely.
What if she got pregnant accidently(and I suspect she did) she chose to have
the baby and love it rather than kill it like an excess puppy in the litter.

|
| Didn't say I never judge someone's choices. I said clearly and plainly
| that I can see where some things are acceptable for some and not for
| others, such as aborting a child that you know will have many, many
| difficulties in life. Not saying I would do it, but I've not had to
| make that choice either.
|
| Fact is, Palin is being made a hero in the family-values circuit based
| on her choice to go through with this kid and I'm saying pushing the
| boundaries of science to have a kid that late in life is no heroic
| act. To put it as plain as I can, I only take issue with these kinds
| of actions when people act as if it gives them some legitimacy that
| just doesn't hold up.

|
| Those somethings that Gore got were nothing different than Bush Jr.
| have gotten. Hell, Bush Jr. wasn't even elected by people outside of
| Texas for anything until he ran for President. People make fun of how
| Gore was raised in Washington, but it's fine that Bush had never been
| out of the country before he became president. People say Gore was
| handed things because of his father, but Bush Jr. would have gotten
| nothing were it not for his family connections.
|
| As far as Palin's somethings, a commercial fisherman isn't a job that
| qualifies someone to be one of the leaders of the free world.
