needs a radical spay/neuter initiative--2000 animals a month being
euthanized at animal control. This, of course, doesn't take into
account the critters who never make it there.

The renter next door moved out without telling the landlord and left a
puppy tied to a tree with no food, no water in 90+ degree temps. I
don't know how long he'd been there when I found him last week, but he
was not in good condition. And there were kittens running
everywhere. (No chickens this time, Paul.) Certainly, there is a
special place in hell for people who do such as this.
