Loveless Cafe

Had lunch today at the Loveless Cafe and was very impressed. I haven't
been in many years and the place was bustling with activity and the
parking lot was full of out of state cars. The food was very good.
Kinda close to a Cracker Barrel or the Apple Barn in Pigeon Forge (one
of my favorites).

Still, a real asset for Nashville in my opinion. There was an hour
wait today for a table. The shops had a great selection of eclectic
stuff, like Gatlinburg once had.

I was never overly impressed by the Loveless. I'm not saying I would
not eat there if the occasion presented itself, but I can't see going
out of my way to eat there.

As to waiting an hour for a table: There is rarely a restaurant that
is worth waiting that long for to me. I will wait an hour for a table
(sometimes) when I am meeting a group of people who have made plans
there. Otherwise, it's almost never worth it: I can drive home and
cook myself something to eat or find something else to eat somewhere
else in that amount of time.

I liked it better before it changed hands. It was more rural and dirty
feeling! Made the food seem more homey.
Now it is too commercial. But I eat there once every five blue moons
to see the waitresses. I know two of them.

I mostly lurk and comment when the mood strikes. How do you classify
that? Not much interesting here anyway.
