I was thinking about John the other day. I believe that he was a former Marine who served in Viet Nam and was a helicopter mechanic (as best I remember). I wish I had had the foresight to keep two of his stories.

The funniest one was about two aromatic Cajuns who were uneducated but ace mechanics. The story told about their encounter with a British naval officer, some British VIPs (including wives and children) and the Cajuns lounging on deck au natural.

The other was touching. He was in remission and decided to go west on his motorcycle complete with sidecar and St. Bernard pup. He encountered several tribes out west who considered him holy since the insane are able to talk directly to the Great Spirit.
