What new gun laws have been passed since Dinkins was mayor,
Cyrus? NYC's crime rate started going down when Rudy
instituted the "broken window"policy. Bloomberg has broken
Federal laws by sending PRIVATE investigators into other
states to make illegal third party purchases (straw
purchases) of handguns to sue the store owners in those
states, thereby exposing both himself and the city to
counter-suits. He's got his own money to squander as he
wishes, but does the city?

Bloomberg is trying to force out-of-state gun shop owners to
dance to his tune and a couple of them have caved to his
IMPERIAL demands while others are mocking him and bringing
suit against him and the city. Aren't you so glad that
you're no longer living under his rule?

In the meantime, King Daley II is passing more laws and
suffering a rise in juvenile murders. In Baltimore (which I
didn't mention before), the citizens are hoping for a murder
total under 200 for the first time in decades. Maryland's
gun control laws are almost as strict as New York state's.
While no two cities (or states for that matter) have
identical demographics, Baltimore and Nashville are close
enough for casual comparison. Surpas would be fleeing the
state with citizens waving pitchforks and torches if
Nashville's murder total goes much pass 100. Tennessee is a
shall issue state, Maryland is a may issue state (if you
have enough pull, that is).
