and report your reaction. There will be a quiz.
The rest of you...biz as usual in the current Halliburton-run
administration. Rolling Stone might just be the last 'real' bastion of
investigative journalism. I might have to support them with a
subscription....

Actually, the piece was written by Matt Taibi of RS, but but I couldn't
find it on their website. I wonder if it's an advance release or
whatever. It's long, but gives overwhelming evidence of what many have
thought all along; that Bush's adventure in Iraq has been nothing but a
massive boondoggle to funnel tens of billion$ into private hands.
Further, there seems to be nothing to be done, except throw more money away.

Damn shame. People have profited from war since the time of cavemen. There
are stories of profiteers during the civil war. Was the police building
built by Americans or by the local population who stop mid stroke multiple
times daily to prey? Thr article reminded me of the stories my brother
in-law told about when he was in Iran "trying" to build a Dupont plant. One
example he mentioned was about the crane operator was to swing a steel beam
in place when the alarm went off to prey. He left the crane in mid swing and
the beam went through the recently built wall. It was Allah's will. It must
be Allah's will for the sewer system to leak.

When did I grant you the authority to give me a quiz? Please be specific as
to date and time.

Yeah, sure, right. It's acutally the nadir of yellow journalism. It's it
the same publication that Stephen King had "The Firestarter" to spill the
beans about the CIA experiment that caused her psychic ability to start
fires by simply thinking about the object of her dangerous powers?

Rolling Stone is a mess of a site, ain't it?
This about sums it up for me:
---------
"The company dumped 50,000 pounds of nails in the desert because they
were too short, and left the Army no choice but to set fire to a
supply truck that had a flat tire. "They did not have the proper
wrench to change the tire," an Iraq vet named Richard Murphy told
investigators, "so the decision was made to torch the truck."

Now Kent go easy on them. I think it's cute when they sound like a cheap
outboard motor trolling around going:
But-But--But--But--But--But--But--But--But--But--But--But--But--But--But--But--But--But------
