Of course not. Not for any amount of money would I murder someone. Kill,
them? Sure. A single dollar can feed a hungry African child for a week - at
least according to that overweight chick on TV. Are you saying a criminal's
life is worth more than a starving child's?

He said he was threatened. Nevertheless, a threat is not necessary for the
use of deadly force to be justified. The only thing necessary for evil to
triumph is for good men (old or otherwise) to do nothing.
Joe Horn is getting offers of marriage, people are naming their children
after him, someday his picture may be on a stamp. He's a hero.

True. But you can't build a house without making sawdust. The loss of a life
here or there is a small price to pay.

Some are, no doubt. But speaking as an ex-police officer, I can tell you
authoritatively that, among themselves and not for publication, virtually
ALL cops approve of the idea. I made many a call where, if it were up to me,
I'd have loaned the victim my gun.

True. It does, however, stop the recently departed from doing it again.

Regrettably true. To cut out a cancer, sometimes healthy tissue is
destroyed. You've got to look at the big picture.

Well, it damn sure stops ONE person from committing more crimes.

I am indifferent in the extreme to the actions of other countries. Almost.
If Mexico had a death penalty, there would be fewer criminals sneaking over
here. Other than that, I don't care what the rest of the world does
regarding the death penalty.
