Uh, jak, he had been convicted and sentenced. He escaped.
His conviction and sentencing didn't prevent a damn thing.
Maybe he should have been double secret convicted and
sentenced ... yeah, that's the ticket.
If you mean he should have been in a maximum security lockup
with the Unabomber, his computer crimes did not call for
such punishment. That would have been "cruel and unusual"
by any definition.
