What the hell . . .
I've seen the TV (news) show and read the news articles. There are all
types of pertinents missing from the sensational headlines.
We know, of course, that whatever whoever health insurance company is doing,
that they are within their rights, within the scope of the contract, and
within the law, so . . .
It's just the damn trial lawyers looking for a rainmaker --- finding a lying
dying cheater and a sympathetic bunch of liberals for a jury, and try to
cheat the honest insurance company into paying her damn cancer treatment
bills. A desperate act by the consumer and maybe a lying agent in an S&K
polyester, trying to put food on his family.

Well, since you haven't been back yet, I take it you were really interested
in this;
"If you have insurance outside a group policy, and you make use of the
benefits, that is often justification for the insurance company dropping the
client." - Joseph Crowe
"California state law prohibits insurance companies from canceling coverage
after a claim has been filed, unless the individual health plan member made
a material misrepresentation on the medical history application."
http://www.quislaw.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/ne.pubDetail/oid/f4db3e30-db1b-42f8-a1b1...
Nothing has changed with regard to Jose's assert that making use of the
benefit is *often* (love that often) justification for the insurance company
dropping the client. Even Denny Crain couldn't get away with that one.

Are you in the health insurance business?
Did you read the article?..because it clearly states her circumstances.
Perhaps you should read it again before you comment....

No, but I have fought the battle as a consumer of individual health
insurance for years.
