|
| George Bush had zero accomplishments outside of politics before he got
| in office in Texas, unless you count being an alcoholic an
| accomplishment. If you consider that a strawman, it just illustrates
| the low bar you set for your candidate's qualifications. But then, we
| saw that last week when Sarah "I'm a hockey mom, never been out of the
| country, but I'm close to Russia, does that count?" Palin was
| nominated for Veep.
|
| Funny that if McCain wins we will have gone from a fat-ass megalomanic
| like Cheney to a woman with looks but relatively little substance.
If you studied history you would find there were several relatively unknowns
who were nominated for the VP position that turned out very well. Harry
Truman was one of them.
" I might add that in small towns, we don't quite know what to make of a
candidate who lavishes praise on working people when they are listening, and
then talks about how bitterly they cling to their religion and guns when
those people aren't listening.
We tend to prefer candidates who don't talk about us one way in Scranton and
another way in San Francisco."
