Did anybody dodge that bullet?
I've been knocking on wood, taking my vitamins, washing my hands,
etc...all year. I went on the road, and eight out of ten of the folks I
traveled with, stumbled through for two weeks--either having, getting
over or contracting a really nasty virus. My whole family got it. My
roommate got it. Schools are closed in surrounding counties because of it.
I didn't succumb.
Just when I thought I might make it, day before yesterday I started
feeling that familiar ache in my joints and associated nausea. I was
fortunate enough to be able to slough off all my responsibilities for an
entire day (yesterday), and survived with some vomiting, diarrhea, fever
and generally feeling like crap.
Last evening I dragged myself out of bed and went to church for supper,
ate the first meal I'd had in 30 hours, (kept it down) came back home
and slept another ten hours or so. I think I'm on the mend.
Blessed be....

See it every year in our office, complete with the one nitwit who shows up
