THREE OLD WOR(AM) TOWERS DEMOLISHED - VIDEO

Buckley Broadcasting succeeded on its second attempt to
bring down its old three-tower Lyndhurst array for WOR(AM) in
northern New Jersey.  The first attempt was thwarted by local
police who cited safety concerns for drivers on the New Jersey
Turnpike who may be distracted by the event (CGC #762).  The
towers were about 700 feet tall.

"A really good video" of the tower demolition with CE Tom
Ray giving the technical details is posted at the YouTube link
below.  WOR was on the air from its replacement site during the
demolition, so service to the public was uninterrupted.  Thanks
to Hal Kneller and Bob Weller for the video URLs.
