High speed cruising has got too dodgey for me if I want to keep my
licence. I just like the acceleration for passing, then back to the
limit (+10-15kmh). Out on the backroads, I just hold it in second and
work it a bit.....easy 120kmh in second (about 5,000rpm) with a
wonderful howl from the exhaust. Traction control off for the arse end
to drift on the uphill corners. A couple of weeks back after some shitty
weather, I hadn't been on the bike and was starting to think, "why
bother, this car is so much fun". Then the sun shone and reality came
back.....no matter how much fun the car is, the bike makes it pale into
insignificance. Just the ability to pass on the spot, rather than
waiting for a gap to put a car into, makes the ability to eat, drink and
listen to music while travelling seem less important.

Now where's that spare 12 grand for that supercharger.........??
