Tom Snyder and Ingmar Bergman both gone. Like a set of bookends in a
strange way. I don't know if I'm glad for knowing Bergman's films,
especially being fortunate enough to not need subtitles--but they're
painful things. Scenes From a Marriage is brilliant, yet almost
qualifies as audience abuse. Whoah, must be art!

Snyder was the coolest interviewer on TV during my lifetime. And a
goof at the same time. Very old school. I wondered what had happened
to him. Olin, or anybody know what he'd been up to the last decade
after he left the Late, Late Show?
