Christmas Music Albums

You know, albums. Page after page of shellac discs that last longer
with a bamboo stylus than a metal one.

But that's not important now. A friend of mine and I were singing along
with the Christmas carols on the BG Music system in the mall we walk
every day and that led to a discussion of good collections of recorded,
seasonal music.

I allowed as how my all time favourite is "We Three Kings," by The
Roches <http://tinyurl.com/y7a32h>. If you haven't heard it, you owe it
to yourself. If you buy it and you hate it, you're only out Clams 8 US
and you can always pass it along as a gift to someone with better
musical tastes than your own.

Who knows, I might even send one to MK this year.

Well, for albums, there's always the Austin Christmas Collection. Pretty
good stuff.

At the risk of sounding like a grinch though, I really don't care for
Christmas music at all. Maybe it's those years in radio where we started
prepping for Christmas in September!

The Carpenter's Christmas Portrait is my favourite. Amazon has it on
CD, but, like everything else, I'm confident my original 1978 vinyl
sounds ever so much better.
