Landmark Communications Sells Nashville TV Station

NEW YORK Landmark Communcations announced Monday that it has sold
WTVF-TV, a CBS affiliate in Nashville, Tenn., to Bonten Media Group.
Specific terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The sale of WTVF is the second time this month that the Norfolk,
Va.-based Landmark has sold one of its TV properties. On July 6,
Landmark announced that it had sold The Weather Channel to NBC
Universal and two private equity firms. Sources close to the
negotiations valued that deal at $3.5 billion.

"We are thrilled to add WTVF, a market-leading CBS affiliate, to Bonten
Media Group's portfolio of high performing television stations," Randy
Bongarten, Chairman and CEO of Bonten Media Group, said in a statement.
"This acquisition reflects our confidence in the future of WTVF in
particular and of local television in general."
