You are correct. (Forgive me for letting the cat out of the bag, so
to speak, but...) I think for residential buyers Madison presents
some of the best home values in this county. In most neighborhoods
the homes are well-built, well-maintained on very nice sized lots.
All this crime in the commercial areas is, however, extremely
disconcerting even to many of us who do not live nearby as we have
always taken advantage of those venues.
I said it had happened rapidly, but the handwriting has been on the
wall for some time. It's been several years since armed robbers at
First Am shot the woman who owned Tradewinds. Then the gentleman who
owned the antique shop across the road was murdered. Both of those
were places I frequented. Then it seems the armed robberies and
murders all along Gallatin Road began to skyrocket. Then skip over to
Dickerson Road and that young 19 yr old lad who was recently gunned
down in the Swifty Station. Heartbreaking.

The only time Joelton makes the news is when the county needs
somewhere to dump garbage or someone is busted for making wine in his
basement (The Horror).

It was good wine wasn't it. ":o)
