I had Sunday lunch at the Riverview Restaurant in Ashland City. Only
$9 for catfish fillets/chicken buffet. Includes tax and drink. Very
good too.
Of course I googled and found a website dedicated to eating Catfish.
http://www.catfishrestaurants.com/catfish_restaurants_009.htm
My favorite place for whole catfish is still South Street in
Nashville.
Sure beats Captain D's.

Have you eaten at Bill's in Joelton? His restaurant used to be in AC, but a
series of events led to his relocating. I don't eat food with a face any
more, but Bill's always put Riverview to shame.
I-24 West to Exit 35/Joelton/Hwy 431
At end of exit ramp turn LEFT onto 431 (Whites Creek Pike)
Go about 1/2 mile and, just in front of the middle school, veer RIGHT onto
Old Clarksville Pike (you will see the hideous new water tower on your left)
(you yield to traffic from the left)
Go about 1/2 mile and take the first road to the LEFT, Eatons Creek

Cock of the Walk is pretty good and I asked for extra crispy and they
did it for me. I just thought the Riverview for the money was a good
deal. Steamboat Bills in Hendersonville is worth the drive.
Anybody remember Captain Paulos in East Nashville on Riverside? The
hush puppies tasted like yeast donuts and were so light they would
hover over the plate.

Ah, Captain Paulo's, one of Liza Minnelli's favorite places in Nashville.
Great fish and, as you said, fantastic hush puppies. Unfortunately the
place couldn't pass a health inspection even if Paul held a pistol to the
inspector's head. We did carry out a lot since we lived just over a quarter
a mile away.

I am considering a drive to Montgomery Bell State Park for the Friday
night seafood buffet. Has anybody tried it?
Anybody remember the Hungry Fisherman buffet in Metro Center?
