Specifically: mental health care; an area badly covered by even
expensive mainstream insurance. The suspect (difficult to call him
that....) would have had little access even to the limited mental health
coverage afforded by the best insurance.
No job....
What if he was this great guy, with a lot to offer society, whose life
is now waste
--leaving horror, dead and injured bodies in his
wake--because there was no help for the obviously real problems he faced?

Seemed like more than half, to me, but there may have been some
making multiple posts and I didn't notice.
The claims about modern production methods being necessary to
make guns, were especially amusing to me. Having done some work
as a prototype machinist (where step one in my job is to look at the
engineer's drawing and tell him whether or not I can make it), having
assembled a few rifles and handguns from manufacturer's parts, and
having a small collection of videos on how guns were "manufactured"
200 years ago, I can safely state that a small firearm "factory" can be
set up in a two car garage (Harbor Freight sells just about all the
"complex" equipment that would be needed).

The daily kos . . . isn't it's content about that of Newsmax left? I
wouldn't use it as a credible unbiased source.
The argument for "gun control" will come up each time a nut with a gun
kills, and the argument will never go completely away but nobody is coming
to get your guns, nor mine.
