That's like comparing Ali to Marciano via computer. (Not
that I'm comparing the Tennessee players to the Alaska
players or to either of the heavyweight champs). Good
players rise to the level of the competition, great ones
rise above. There is no way to compare the Alaska 1982 team
to any of the 1982 Tennessee teams. The papers always try
to rank teams in the NCAA play-offs. Generally there is a
Cinderella team that breaks all that fine math and expert
opinion. They don't often get to the Big Dance, but they
are perfectly capable of ruining some big team's dreams.

Palin may or may not make a good VP. She may or may not
make a good President should something happen to McCain.
We'll never know until history calls. Regardless of
Truman's resume that Cyrus has presented, there was nothing
in HST's past that predicted greatness or even the potential
for greatness. He wasn't prepared to step in and make the
hard decisions that he did upon FDR's death. He was,
essentially, a mushroom, kept in the dark and fed shit. But
he made the decision to drop the bomb and he stood up to
McArthur when McArthur was at his peak. That's character,
something that doesn't stand out on a resume. It may be
there, but you have to read between the lines and in the
small print to find it.

FWIW, I won't accept any critique of Sarah Palin's
basketball skills unless it comes from Pat Summit.

BTW, in case you missed the memo, you're supposed to be
comparing Obama to Christ and Palin to Pontus Pilot. You
know, Community Organizer to Governor (snort).
