Man pays the price for being a good samaritan
August 30, 2007
BY STEVE PATTERSON Staff Reporter/spatterson@ suntimes.com
It was Rocio Palacios who first noticed the woman who appeared to need
help.
It was 8 a.m. when she and her husband, Erasmo, dropped their 6-year-
old daughter off at school and had picked up their 22-year-old
daughter to go out for breakfast when they saw the woman waving her
arms at 53rd and Kedzie last November.
"I'm so lucky I was with my wife," Erasmo Palacios (seen with wife
Rocio) said of his arrest on prostitution charges.
Erasmo Palacios, 51, explains how he was arrested for soliciting a
prostitute with his wife and daughter in his car.
The couple laughed, realizing this wasn't a woman in distress after
all.
But within seconds, Chicago Police swarmed the family car, hauling
Erasmo Palacios out in handcuffs. He was charged with solicitation of
a prostitute .

Yes, and kent's "non-partisan" response is equally laughable.

Mea culpa, I should not have singled you out. It was a temporary
cerebral misfiring.
Well, other than (in retrospect) I figure you would particularly want
to pillory Larry Craig and would probably not countenance the idea
that there might have been overzealous police work or miscommunication
or the like in his case. And the reason you would do that would be
solely because Larry Craig is Republican. In fact, if the alleged
perp had been a Democrat, I suspect you would have been among the
first to make excuses / rationalizations.
I really don't know if Larry Craig did what is alleged because I have
not seen all the evidence. However, he might have, and even if he
didn't, I admit to having ridiculed him and made jokes about the
situation probably as much as the average person.

Thus explains your bizarre reference to a 40 yr old "non-partisan"
frustration.
It's not the only political manipulation that ever happened, but
instead of ranting about bush "winning" Florida recently, your "non-
partisan" perspective immediately leaps to something most of us
weren't even alive to remember.
good going, mr non-partisan~! : ) Lala

It is the hypocrisy (for the fortyleventh time!)
. . . and knowing how casual men are in restrooms with regard to touching,
as I'm sure you do, you can bet it was just a big misunderstanding.
Had his guilt not overwhelmed his conscience prior to his admitting said
guilt, there is no doubt that he could have brushed this one off. He didn't
change his mind about what happened quite soon enough.
AND It's his own "ILK" what throwed him under da bus. Evidently, they know
him.
. . . and look, your post . . . it's nice and trim.

Dear MrRoadkill,
When super-repeated attempts fail to enlighten, the proper
terminology, unstead of "for the fortyleventh time!", is:
"for the fuckteenth time~!" I have so decided~!
