TITUSVILLE, Fla. --
(AP) -- State Rep. Bob Allen said in court filings that he wasn't informed
of his rights before making statements to police after he was arrested and
charged with soliciting prostitution.
Allen's attorney is trying to have some statements the Merritt Island
Republican made to police thrown out. Allen denies wrongdoing and has vowed
to fight the charges.
Attorney Greg Eisenmenger said Allen was never informed of his Miranda
rights to remain silent until he was booked into the jail, after which
police asked no more questions.
''They probably got everything that they wanted to illegally, so why bother
to do it legally?'' Eisenmenger told the Orlando Sentinel. He said Allen
asked several times to speak to a lawyer but officers continued to question
him before he was allowed to contact his attorney.

Faye, (or anyone who wishes to post in an open forum, of course) having ties
to UT and Knoxville, is former Mayor Victor Ashe gay? You know, George WD40
Bush's fellow cheerleader and suite (or would that be sweet) mate. There
has always been this persistent rumor about WD40 and Victor Ashe and
inquiring minds want to know.

He was arrested because he allegedly attempted to solicit from an
officer. Whether that should be against the law or not is debatable,
but the fact is that he apparently did it...and it is.
The real issue, of course, is his persistent denial of his own
sexuality...to the point where he's compensated by using his position to
try to punish other gays. Of course, his 'base' would likely abandon
him if he came out, so it's doubly hypocritical of him.
But you knew all that. Your's is just knee-jerk, koolaide-induced
Obvious obfuscation.

I don't like to speculate in a public forum as the only thing I would find
wrong in such would be hypocrisy, a sentiment I believe you would share.
But you know what They say about ducks. Until this moment I did not know
about this relationship. It's as though I've been staring through a glass
darkly.
I've got to be a machooo....

No. You're missing the fact that the issue is not sexuality, but
*hypocrisy.*
