Jimmy Carter has been misguided on this peace expedition.
Hamas is offering a 10 year truce to Israel which in itself
infers that a state of [future] war will exist between them.
Again, no whiff or hint of recognition in exchange for the
conquered territories. The Hama peace package is a nonstarter
and is like old wine poured into a fresh bottle.

Seems to me that a genuine 10-year truce, on whatever future basis, would be
a miracle. If held, it could offer infinite possibilities for a more
permanent future settlement.
But it possibly wouldn't be held of course.
But worth trying.

If you destroy the state of Israel, then the so-called "right to return"
becomes an actuality doesn't it? So, how can there be "settlements", if
there is not state of Israel?
