The best veterinarians in the great state of Texas still don't know what's
wrong with my cat, sugar. Colonoscopy revealed nothing untoward in her
innards, and bacterial infection and pancreatic inefficiency/deficiency are
not supported by a battery of fecal and blood serum tests. The *catchall*
term of "inflammatory bowel disease" is what has been settled on for now,
and I begin a new regimen of prednisone, flagyl and amoxicillin for a 30 to
45-day treatment in hopes of clearing things up for her.

Said regimen is going to be a tough one--whereby the cat will needs be
isolated or separated into a smaller area where she can be readily handled
and medicated. If not, she will hide beneath bulky furniture and test my
mettle as a patient and responsible pet owner.

This is my favorite cat, and I don't favor such jail time for her; but she
must get well. Mebbe she can spend some nights inside with me in the
bedroom. She's a sweet cat. That's why I named her Sugar.

We have a teensy amount of rain here in the Houston burbs, and the morning
temp was about 79F when I went outside at 0330. It may have come down a bit
since the rain moved through. Five-day forecast promises more moisture as
the storm hits land and goes whereever it is that storms go when they do
that.

"A hurricane warning was in effect for the coast of Texas from Brownsville
to Corpus Christi and in Mexico from Rio San Fernando northward.

Cities and counties in Rio Grande valley were preparing Tuesday night as
officials feared heavy rains could cause massive flooding and levee breaks.

Texas officials urged residents to move away from the Rio Grande levees
because if Dolly continues to follow the same path as 1967's Hurricane
Beulah, "the levees are not going to hold that much water," said Cameron
County Emergency Management Coordinator Johnny Cavazos."

I can see it now. Civil rights advocates and Democrat congressmen wearing
rubber boots, wading around in ankle deep water and blaming (1) George W
Bush, (2) FEMA, (3) US Army Corps of Engineers, and (4) of course, Global
Warming. It will sound as though there had never been a hurrincane hit the
Gulf Coast until Algor told us why.

And the liberal newsmedia will suck it up like a septic vacuum.

Accidental? I think not.

Being neither a scientist nor a bottle washer, I have not checked these
stats out--as it will take someone versed in more than one science
discipline to do so. But they are interesting ponderances, lending credence
to intelligent design of our universe and ourselves as well. --as if the
credence of such an idea needed bolstering in the first place.

God's accuracy may be observed in the hatching of eggs. For example, the
eggs of the potato bug hatch in 7 days; those of the canary in 14 days;
those of the barnyard hen in 21 days. The eggs of ducks and geese hatch
in 28 days; those of the mallard in 35 days. The eggs of the parrot and
the ostrich hatch in 42 days. (Notice, they are all divisible by seven).

The lives of each of you may be ordered by the Lord in a beautiful way
for His glory, if you will only entrust Him with your life. If you try
to regulate your own life, it will only be a mess and a failure. Only
the One Who made the brain and the heart can successfully guide them
to a profitable end.

Farm Fountain is a system for growing edible and ornamental fish
and plants in a constructed, indoor ecosystem. Based on the concept of
aquaponics, this hanging garden fountain uses a simple pond pump, along
with gravity to flow the nutrients from fish waste through the plant
roots. The plants and bacteria in the system serve to cleanse and
purify the water for the fish.

On the way back, bought a couple of things at Aldi.

****On Freecycle, someone asked for paternity clothes. It was a
mistake for "maternity" -- but it was nicely science-fictional.
