How did that fire pan out at Kitt Peak? Any news down there? Any
scope damage?

I got my cat Sugar back from the vet's shop. She was there five nights
because of a recurring blood in the urine condition that we suspect was
caused by a small lesion in her bladder. She came home with a bottle of
medicine that I must administer twice daily for three more days, and I
figure I can get at least three doses in her before she figures out the
routine and disappears under furniture. If I catch her in time I'll pen her
up in a small enclosure for the remainder of her dosage period.

Right now she's a broken record, walking around telling everyone who will
listen about her terrible ordeal these last five days. She has a
distinctive voice, and I can hear her all the way from the downstairs. It's
getting louder, so she must be coming this way.

Here she is now in the chair beside me, meowing her silly head off. Cats
are funny.

I've had her ten years this summer and I've always told her she is my
favorite. I tell all of them that.

Well, me go now. Everyone post well, and don't worry about Hillary. She
will kick serious black butt tomorrow in West bygod Virginia and eventually
come out victorious in this so-called democrat primary nominating process.
If she can just get Bill to shut his philandering mouth.

Up in the northern part of my state, it is some mighty beautiful country.
Rolling hills, sparkling blue water, clean air, cherry trees all blossomed
out. But I'll admit that during the 3-hour trip from here to there, one
observes things along the winding, backwoods roads that are somewhat - um -
*unique*.

Anyone remember the old TV sitcom Sanford and Son that starred Red Foxx?
Let's just say that I passed lots of Sanford and Sons on my journey. I don't
remember the last time I saw that many yards littered with junk cars,
trailers with flat tires, old rusted hunks of metal that I'm sure were
probably something once upon a time but are no longer, and yard sales that
looked like they'd been going on for 2 years straight.

Another observation was that there are a plethora of motor homes and power
boats for sale in Mitten including new, old, small, and huge. With the price
of petrol escalating as we speak, it's no wonder.

There are also many people who are trying to sell various wares by setting
them out by the side of the road along with hand-written signs that are
illegible. I passed at least 3 sofas, numerous piles of tires, a dune buggy,
a couple of stoves, a wood burner, a snowmobile (great timing!), several
pink plastic flamingoes, and a trailer load of double-hung windows.
