Okay, I'm sure I'll catch heck from the truck drivers on this forum, but
is a lobotomy a pre requisite to get a CDL?
We had one heck of a blizzard today here in central Illinois. Depending
on the location, anywhere from 6 to 16 inches of snow, with 50 MPH
winds. On my way home from work this afternoon, traffic came to...

That greedy oil company is a better citizen than most of the country's
population. I don't understand the desire to think companies should be
providing vital products and services and they should do it because they
love you. As one economist said, if the people of NYC could eat only if the
midwestern farmer wanted to show his love they would have starved years ago.
We have the goods and services we need because others can make money making
them available to us. Any other way will not only drive them out of
business but make us do without. Exxon-Mobil does more good for more people
than all the socialist programs in the world combined.

WASHINGTON- Moving company Allied Van Lines Inc., along with its
corporate parent Sirva Inc., filed for bankruptcy protection Tuesday,
the latest victim of a heavy debt load and the downturn in the U.S.
housing industry.
The company, which is based in Westmont, Ill., listed assets of $924
million and debts of $1.2 billion. The company has more than 100,000
creditors.
Sirva filed for Chapter 11 protection in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in
Manhattan after reaching a deal with its lenders to cut its debt by
some $200 million.
Under the company's "prepackaged" bankruptcy plan, Sirva's lenders
will trade a portion of the debt they're owed for a 75 percent stake
in the reorganized company. Existing shares in the company will be
canceled.
