"All the free booze I could drink and not a killer pretzel in
sight...." says George.
I wonder if the bride can out drink the old man?
And the biggest question of all...did Cheney shot any of the guests in
the face?

President calls wedding 'spectacular' By DEB RIECHMANN, Associated
Press Writer
President Bush and first lady Laura Bush didn't share their daughter's
wedding with the nation, but the president eagerly shared their joy on
Sunday about Jenna Bush's marriage to Henry Hager.
"We're mighty blessed," Bush said at an airport in Waco where he and
the first lady boarded Air Force One to return to Washington.
Bush called the wedding "spectacular," saying that his daughter and
new son-in-law exchanged vows just as the sun set over the lake at the
president's Texas ranch.
"This Mother's Day weekend was awfully special for Laura and me," said
the president, his wife standing at his side.

If you are at all into survivalism, you are going to know how to be
prepared for economic collapse, terrorism etc. Part of it is not
living in the wrong part of the country. I believe you will need 4
things (at least) to get by- (1) Plentiful wood- if other fuel is
unavailable, you can always use a woodstove, plus you can make all
kinds of things out of wood, (2) Adequate water- a lot of the west is
just to dry to live in adequately. You draw a north-south line that
runs through Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, and both Dakotas. A
lot of what's west of that line is 20 inches of rain or less a year, I
foresee Los Angeles, Phoenix etc. collapsing soon from sky-high water
prices. (3) Reasonable gun laws- I have researched this: These states
are really tough on gun owners- Hawaii, California...

Memphis High School: "Rape Dat Ho"
"Students" perform "Rape Dance"
Negro school officials watch and do nothing
http://www.wreg.com/Global/story.asp?S=8281465
If ever you thought that blacks would be equal to whites if
they were just properly educated, this incident proves you
really need to get your head out of your ass.
These negroes are in a new, multi-million dollar school
building, with highly paid teachers, up-to-date books and
equipment. Yet what do they CHOOSE to engage-in? A rape
dance.
Blacks are savages at the genetic level. They are
incompatible with our advanced civilization and must be
forced out.

Army has its say after Stephen King remark
BANGOR, Maine (AP) — The Army is weighing in on writer Stephen King's
remark about literacy and the military that drew the ire of
conservative critics this week.
King came under fire from a blogger for what he told students while
stressing the importance of reading at the Library of Congress on
April 4: "The fact is if you can read, you can walk into a job later
on. If you don't, then you've got the Army, Iraq, I don't know,
something like that," King said.
The ensuing flap drew a response Wednesday from U.S. Army spokesman
Paul Boyce, who said most soldiers are avid readers.
Military recruits test above the national average in reading and
vocabulary skills, he added.

Many airmen, soldiers, sailors and marines even read the Stephen King
books sold in the military exchanges...
How is that possible???

created?

Number of disabled veterans rising By JENNIFER C. KERR, Associated
Press Writer
Increasing numbers of U.S. troops have left the military with damaged
bodies and minds, an ever-larger pool of disabled veterans that will
cost the nation billions for decades to come — even as the total
population of America's vets shrinks.
Despite the decline in total vets — as soldiers from World War II and
Korea die — the government expects to be spending $59 billion a year
to compensate injured warriors in 25 years, up from today's $29
billion, according to internal documents obtained by The Associated
Press. And the Veterans Affairs Department concedes the bill could be
much higher.
Why?
Worse wounds. More disabilities. More vets aware of the benefits and
quicker to file for them.

Libraries in the sand reveal Africa's academic past
Researchers in Timbuktu are fighting to preserve tens of thousands of
ancient texts which they say prove Africa had a written history at least
as old as the European Renaissance.
Private and public libraries in the fabled Saharan town in Mali have
already collected 150,000 brittle manuscripts, some of them from the
13th century, and local historians believe many more lie buried under
the sand.
The texts were stashed under mud homes and in desert caves by proud
Malian families whose successive generations feared they would be stolen
by Moroccan invaders, European explorers and then French colonialists.
Written in ornate calligraphy, some were used to teach astrology or
mathematics, while others tell tales of social and business life in
Timbuktu during its "Golden Age," when it was a seat of learning in the
16th century.
"These manuscripts are about all the fields of human knowledge: law, the
sciences, medicine," said Galla Dicko, director of the Ahmed Baba
Institute, a library housing 25,000 of the texts.
