Tracking the Next Killer Flu
(National Geographic - Oct. 2005)
By Tim Appenzeller
In Southeast Asia a virus that kills chickens
is now also killing people. The race is on to
keep the bird flu from ravaging the world.
Little Ngoan was buried behind her parents'
hut three weeks ago. Her grave, a bulky
concrete tomb like others dotting the
Vietnamese countryside, rests on high
ground between a fishpond and yellow-
green rice fields. At one end her family laid
out her cherished possessions: a doll's chair,
a collection of shells, plastic sandals. They
painted her tomb powder blue.

A very thinly veiled attempt to rewrite the history of Bush's
continued failures....
I wonder if each graduate received a copy of Bush's favorite book...My

Bush hails recovery of tornado-leveled Kansas town By BEN FELLER,
Associated Press Writer
President Bush hailed the resilience of this town and its tiny high
school graduating class Sunday, one year after a tornado barreled
through with astonishing fury.
Never before had Bush delivered a commencement address at a high
school, and his presence was meant to reflect how far Greensburg has
come. From nearly total devastation last May 4, this town is
recovering, and hope has been rekindled.
At the center of attention is the Class of 2008 — 10 boys and eight
girls. They finished their senior year at a makeshift campus of
trailers.

Who should MDs let die in a pandemic? Report offers answers By LINDSEY
TANNER, AP Medical Writer
Doctors know some patients needing lifesaving care won't get it in a
flu pandemic or other disaster. The gut-wrenching dilemma will be
deciding who to let die.
Now, an influential group of physicians has drafted a grimly specific
list of recommendations for which patients wouldn't be treated. They
include the very elderly, seriously hurt trauma victims, severely
burned patients and those with severe dementia.
The suggested list was compiled by a task force whose members come
from prestigious universities, medical groups, the military and
government agencies. They include the Department of Homeland Security,
the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Department of
Health and Human Services.

This reminds me of another seasonal enteric virus which caused the
annual polio epidemics when I was a kid. My mother was worried every
Summer that one of us would get it. Swimming pools were suspect and
were raw vegetables.

Read down below. Thankfully it seems the EIA was a false alarm. See the

Here is the recent string of emails I received:
Star Thorton has also checked this out with the AZ dept of Agriculture and
two vets and has given me the same info. Still best to keep our eyes open
and take precautions when ever there is the slightest chance of this kind of
thing getting away from us.
I feel better, hope everyone else does too.

Here's an interesting web page:
http://www.garynorth.com/public/department79.cfm
As of 5/3/08, the U.S. national debt is increasing at the
rate of about $1,250,000 per minute, $75,000,000 per hour,
$1,800,000,000 per day.
I suppose someone can gin up an explanation of why this is
not a Really Bad Thing (RBT), but I would be a bit skeptical
of the story.

He had $25.00 on it, Gasket looks good, the Pressure soft plug and
gage sound, Offered him $15.00 he accepted !20.00, this one even has
the racks for the glass jars my other on lacked! Seeing as most of
these larger units new is well over, $100.00, I'm happy! Going to Can
