Too much going on nowadays, so I've unsubscribed from all but
a few groups which I've been reading and posting in, some for
many years. I'll still x-post to the usual suspects, but I've
found it much faster and easier to search articles by subject
header on the free news servers I use, merely to confirm that
my articles are getting through via the remailers in a timely
manner on busy groups which I'd previously killfiled to death.

I still read email, and I'll still occasionally post articles.
But reading these public usenet newsgroups has become tedious
and uninteresting, with only rare exceptions, And all groups
require elaborate filtering to winnow out the wheat from the
chaff, even the few to which I'm still subscribed, making me
think it won't be long before I unsubscribe to those, too...

Hi-speed multimedia Internet forums are much more attractive
these days... the calm before the storm. At least plain text
tends to last longer. That's why I'll keep posting to usenet
newsgroups, and corresponding by email, till I can no longer.

9/11 was perpetrated by Neoconservatives and by Israel

"All the intelligence services of America and Europe…know well that
the disastrous attack [of 9/11] has been planned and realized from the
Mossad, with the aid of the Zionist world in order to put under
accusation the Arabic countries and in order to induce the western
powers to take part … in Iraq and Afghanistan."

These are wonderful investment opportunities for those who worked hard
and squirreled away their money for a rainy day, instead of spending
it on burgers, cigarettes, liquor and liberal women (which could be
had for free by the way).

This is a once, maybe twice in a lifetime chance to pull yourself up
by the bootstraps and crawl out of that hole you dug. And if you can't
do it now, there's always next time.

Vatican: It's OK to believe in aliens By ARIEL DAVID, Associated Press
Writer
Tue May 13

Believing that the universe may contain alien life does not contradict
a faith in God, the Vatican's chief astronomer said in an interview
published Tuesday.

The Rev. Jose Gabriel Funes, the Jesuit director of the Vatican
Observatory, was quoted as saying the vastness of the universe means
it is possible there could be other forms of life outside Earth, even
intelligent ones.

"How can we rule out that life may have developed elsewhere?" Funes
said. "Just as we consider earthly creatures as 'a brother,' and
'sister,' why should we not talk about an 'extraterrestrial brother'?
It would still be part of creation."

Do You Give Enough Thought To Your Wedding Invitations?

Author: lastlongersexumomwn

Well do you...?

Your Wedding Invitations are the first thing that people will see
regarding your big day. Most Do not put that much thought into
selecting the right style or quality of wedding invitation.

When your guests recieve your invitation and they are impressed with
its quality and presentation, then they are much more likely to
anticipate your big day and regard it more highly than if recieving
some generic off the shelf number.

The bride hand picks her wonderful dress without exception, so why
should the wedding stationery be any different..?

Its your announcment to the world that the happiest day of your life
is being planned and that they are invited!

Are we close to genetically engineered humans?

Author: Bob Brock
Date: May 13, 2008 12:55

If we did, who would be the "inferiors" that resources were being
wasted on? Perhaps us? Possibly our children.

http://apnews.myway.com/article/20080512/D90KBJH00.html

NEW YORK (AP) - News that scientists have for the first time
genetically altered a human embryo is drawing fire from some watchdog
groups that say it's a step toward creating "designer babies."

But an author of the study says the work was focused on stem cells. He
notes that the researchers used an abnormal embryo that could never
have developed into a baby anyway.

"None of us wants to make designer babies," said Dr. Zev Rosenwaks,
director of the Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility at
NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

The idea of designer babies is that someday, scientists may insert
particular genes into embryos to produce babies with desired traits
like intelligence or athletic ability. Some people find that notion
repugnant, saying it turns children into designed objects, and would
create an unequal society where some people are genetically enriched
while others would be considered inferior.

The joyous season of Christmas is steeped in tradition, and gift
giving is one ritual that is inseparable from this holiday. Who hasn’t
had difficulty at one time or another in choosing a suitable present
for a beloved family member or a dear friend? Fortunately, jewelry
Christmas gifts are widely available and there is an endless variety
of styles from which to choose. Twinkling and shining, they reflect
the nature of that season to be jolly.

Sparkling and glittering are two words that would describe diamonds.
Browse through the World Wide Web and you’ll see a plethora of online
stores that showcase jewelry Christmas gifts. Imagine a woman’s
pleasure at the shimmering sight of diamond snowflake dangling
earrings or a glittering diamond bracelet adorned with traditional
symbols associated with Christmas. Men, on the other hand, will surely
appreciate flashing yet tasteful diamond cuff links. Other gemstones
make wonderful jewelry Christmas gifts. Sapphires or rubies set in
gold, sterling silver or platinum will gleam subtly from rings or
necklaces.

Hmmm...just came across this.

http://www.wkrg.com/news/article/michelle_duggar_announces_18th_pregnancy/13748/

MANY of the cases of this situation that I am aware of are using
public services to support the family.

Wanna bet these Republicans know how to work the system too?

I wonder if they are aware that free birth control is available?

[
WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM OUR FRIENDS! Police in Oakland, California spent two
hours attempting to subdue a gunman who had barricaded himself inside his home.
After firing ten tear gas canisters, officers discovered that the man was
standing beside them, shouting out to give himself up. (No one ever said you had
to be "smart" to be a cop.)

NOW THIS SOUNDS LIKE IT WAS PLANNED OUT WELL...NOT! An Illinois man, pretending
to have a gun, kidnapped a motorist and forced him to drive to two different
automated teller machines. The kidnapper then proceeded to withdraw money from
his own bank account. (Maybe he should have pretended to have a brain!)

WHEN YOU THINK YOU'RE HAVING A BAD DAY...READ THIS Fire investigators on Maui
have determined the cause of a blaze that destroyed a $1,270,000 home last month
- a short in the homeowner's newly installed fire prevention alarm system. "This
is even worse than last year, "said the distraught homeowner, "when someone
broke in and stole my new security system..." (...hmmm, could this be the
Illinois guy?)

About Half Of Cleveland's Subprime Loans Ended In Foreclosure

Author: Bob Brock
Date: May 13, 2008 10:12

I thought that someone said that Ohio was relatively unaffected by the
Bush economic slump?

http://www.newsnet5.com/money/16231066/detail.html

CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that about half
of the city's subprime mortgage loans written by top lenders in 2005
ended in foreclosure filings.

Subprime mortgage loans are generally given to people with poor credit
and come with higher fees and interest rates.

Now Cleveland is dealing with one of the highest foreclosure rates in
the nation.
