  Suing Former Partner?

Author: BoydEisenhower

I was partial owner of a company that sold recently; months after the
sale the majority owner decided he wanted more of the proceeds than
his ownership percentage, and so he just took the extra money. I've
tried to negotiate with him but no go. I talked to a lawyer who said
that it would cost $50k to bring the lawsuit, and since I'm only owed
like $55k that's not a great option. Is there any way I can bring
this lawsuit myself? Or would that just be shooting myself in the
foot? Any other way that I could get my money?

  Community Patent Review wants you

Author: Steve Pearson (news only)
Date: Jun 20, 2008 18:16

Are you a believer in patent reform, perhaps especially around
software and business method patents?
Are you a subject matter expert anywhere in the field of computing?
Are you reasonably adept at searching for prior art with respect to
new technologies?

If you answered "yes" to any of the above, this message is for you.
And maybe a free t-shirt as well; read on.

The notion of "community patent review" proposes that public comments
on current patent applications can aid in the examination process,
helping overburdened examiners to find relevant prior art, and improve
the average quality of issued patents.

  Estate Administrators

Author: Efootprint
Date: Jun 19, 2008 11:27

In a digital world it is often difficult for an executor of a will to
find complete information necessary to carry out the document.
Executor Services has developed a forensically sound process to assist
the estate administration of digital data.

The first company to create such a system, Executor Services has named
the trade secret protected process Efootprint. Fulfilling a previous
lapse in estate administration, Efootprint makes it possible to obtain
digital data assets of the deceased while meeting legal requirements
in all fifty states.

Executor Services can retrieve data from any digital device whether it
is new or old. Estate administrators such as attorneys, executors, and
personal representatives utilize Executor Services to identify,
gather, and inventory digital assets.

Executor Services is the only one of its kind providing a secure,
confidential process specifically designed to retrieve digital data
while meeting the needs of estate administration.
