Be sure that you warm up and of course cool down. Your warm up should
consist of at least 10 minutes making sure to do some kick butts, high
knees, strides to work your full range of muscles. After completion,
your cool down is very important as well.

3. Fartlek (swedish word for 'speed play')
4. Anaerobic threshhold Intervals
5. VO2 Max Intervals
6. Stride-Outs

I tried doing my usual run yesterday, 4 miles,
wearing a new armband radio. First time I
ever wore a music box.

My stride and rhythm are pretty much fixed in
stone, after so many years. Problem is, the
beat of the music - regardless which song -
was out of sync with my biorhythm. Ineluctably,
I 'ran to the music', so to speak, and it messed
me up. I pooped out less than 3 miles!

Is this normal? Does it work itself out after
a while? It's unexpected, fer shure -
