Yes. Most folks find even just five minutes to be challenging!
It's a high-impact exercise (both feet off the ground at once, no
less), so be sure to always do it on a forgiving surface like a wood
floor, never, ever on concrete or carpet-over-concrete. Your ankles,
knees, and back will thank you.
There's at least one video out there for a jump-rope workout with a
variety of moves and rhythms to try to keep things interesting and
challenging.
