  Dryer Door Switch - Disconnecting

Author: John Taylor
Date: Jul 19, 2008 18:55

I am trying to open the front panel of my Kenmore / Whirlpool 29" dryer
to service the rollers, idler pulley, and drive belt.

I have the top open and am trying to disconnect the door switch before
unscrewing the front panel. The door switch has two wires leading to it
and there is a convenient connector (3 conductor, only 2 are used) a few
inches away from the switch. I've tried pulling at that connector as
hard as I dare to unplug it, but no luck. It looks like there may be
two tiny tabs to press, but I have no way to press tabs that tiny while
pulling and trying to prevent damaging the wires. Does anyone have any
suggestions?

The door switch connector part number is Whirlpool # 3936144.

(Yes, I could remove the entire switch, but was trying to avoid that.)

Thanks for any help!

  Possible Pool Leak - Ideas

Author: kjw
Date: Jul 19, 2008 16:34

Our water bill spiked by 15,000 gallons from last month and I isolated
it to the autofill for our 22,000 gallon pool. When I shut off the
supply to the autofill, the outside meter shows zero flow, but when I
turn it back on, the little "trickle" needle starts spinning. I
watched it for a few minutes and it looks like it takes about 3
minutes for a gallon to flow through, which is pretty consistent with
the spike over a 30-day period.

By the way, we live the Dallas area, so it has been consistently hot,
but not hot enough for that kind of evaporation as we've never seen
this kind of spike before.

Okay, so I'm pretty confident that the pool autofill is where the
water is going. What I can't figure out is whether it is a broken
autofill or a leak somewhere. Judging by the water bill graph, this
started sometime in the last month or so. Where would those 15,000
gallons go and wouldn't I see signs of it in the way of sinkholes? If
it is autofilling and autodraining (we have one of those, too), I
would think that 480 gallons a day would be pretty evident in the lawn
where the overflow drain goes.

angle grinder to cut and clean tiles

Author: john westmore_______

I have a broken tile in the tiled sill below the front window, on our
house. As it's on a curve, i need to cut a new tile to shape.

I was thinking of buying an inexpensive angle grinder to do this job. could
anyone please recommend an inexpensive one?

Also the tiles were painted black at one time, and we would like to remove
this paint and restore the tiles to their original red colour. Would I be
able to easily grind off this paint with the angle grinder and if so what
kind of disc should i buy for this job? Thanks for any advice.

Are SEO Company came through for us..

So we have been trying to sell homes in Orange County for a little
over two years with this economy I can't hope to say that finding
leads is very very hard and we've wasted so much money as we've
already told you on a lot of advertising that has not paid off. By
this I mean we tried print advertising e-mail marketing you name it we
tried it. So when we finally took a look at our website we were
wondering why we weren't on top of Google for certain things like
Irvine homes for sale or orange county real estate. These terms were
like four or five dollars for each click on Google which was way too
expensive for even our taste so we found that the only legitimate
search engine firm in Orange County, whose name is Atomic seo
http://www.atomicsearchengineoptimization.com/Monthy_plan_rates-seo-services.htm...
this company at prices that we could get in for around $350 a month
and a handled every aspect of our website to getting us back links
which is really cool all I know is there is a lot a growth for leads
on the web and I can't wait to get more phone calls, last month I
believe we have 13 request form fill out our website and that's never
happened before, so yeah we think search engine optimization is a good
idea versus advertising anywhere else just based on the return on
investment. ...

  BBQ cleaning brushes

Author: Don Phillipson

Cleaning brushes for barbeque grills were formerly
made only of brass wires. The last two I found when
recently shopping seemed to be made of steel, i.e.
likelier to scratch the enamel on the grills
-- opinions?
