The 21st century will likely be defined by three overarching forces:
climate change, Peak Oil, and macroeconomics.
The twin issues of climate change and Peak Oil are intertwined
variables, and each represent extremely important phenomena that have
slowly gained some public awareness. However, the third issue,
macroeconomics in its geopolitical context, and more specifically the
global trends regarding petrocurrencies, remains essentially
unreported by the five US corporate media conglomerates.

UN SECRETARY GENERAL BAN KI-MOON NEEDS 9/11 PHILADELPHIA LAWYER!
NEW YORK, NEW YORK * 7 JANUARY 2007 -- Citizen of the USA Stephen
M. St. John addresses the international community in Washington and
here in New York City, all members of the US Congress as well as other
organizations and individuals, public and private, and seconds
Philadelphia lawyer Philip Berg's call to the nations of the earth to
arrest George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney et al. for their having
staged the events of 9/11 as a pretext for waging aggressive war
according to the psychopathic Zionist Neo-Conservative agenda for
world domination and against the Charter of the United Nations as well
as the Constitution of the USA, which makes all treaty obligations the
supreme law of the land. Citizen St. John notes that Berg, a former
Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania and currently a member of the
Scholars for 9/11 Truth, in laying the foundation for prosecution of
the perpetrators of 9/11, to whom he refers collectively as "the
Enterprise," has arrived at the conclusion that such global crimes
with global jurisdiction have overwhelmed federal, state and local
systems of justice to such a degree that the pursuit of justice is
impossible. Citizen St. John adds that despite polls showing
overwhelming rejection of the 9/11 Commission Report, the steadfast
media embargo on dissenting views and the obsessive secrecy of
government constitute an impenetrable barrier to proper discovery and
prosecution of the true perpetrators of the attacks of 9/11.
Therefore, Citizen St. John repeats his call for a United Nations
International Independent Investigation Commission on 9/11 as the best
alternative for putting under proper scrutiny those who benefited
directly or indirectly from the attacks of 9/11, as well as those who
had the motive, means and opportunity to carry them out and cover up
their actions. Citizen St. John (http://mysite.verizon.net/vze4wbps)
and Philip Berg (http://www.911forthetruth.com) stand ready to assist
in the application of the Nuremberg Principles and other applicable law.

to support Ehren Watada in his stand against the lies
that have gained our nation nothing more than death
Purple Heart 'Winner' Darrell Anderson returned
from 18 months in hiding when he heard that Lt. Watada
had refused to deploy. Anderson would have deployed to
his third tour had he not gone north. Anderson asked
me to get on the www.ivawdeployed.org with him and get

We are here, in the mud. It is not warm here...nor
dry.....however, you should stand with us....in
support of a man who stands up against the military
machine and a nation of millions who don't have the
foggiest notion that our troops do not want to serve
in this war. Lt. Watada is speaking for thousands of
enlisted soldiers like Darrell Anderson and myself, a

never ask enlisted soldiers to do things he would
never do....that is part of the requirement. NEVER ask
nor order your troops to do things that you wouldn't
do. There are more violators of this rule in the
military now, than ever (or at least in my 15 years).
Lt. Watada is not one of them...and with that, the

There is a RESISTANCE!!! going on. Thousands of

know we are here.....working from the wi fi hot spot,
let them know they should stand here too. If not for a
month as we will, then for a day or even an hour.
We are at off-ramp 119, gates of Fort Lewis.
We are meeting up at the gates of Fort lewis to
support the Lt. Why? We have had enough...we want the
war to stop....we want the government to stop using

Dirty War Against Defenders of Human Rights in Oaxaca
January 2nd, 2007 - Civil Organizations in Oaxaca write: Slander
Campaign Against the Mexican League for the Defense of Human Rights
(LIMEDDH), and its director, Yisica Sanchez Maya.
Please see recommended actions below...
In a letter written by five inmates from the Tlacolula de Matamoros
prison, addressed to Governor Ulises Ruiz Ortiz, the accused
say that they were "deceived by human rights organizations",
and accuse Yisica Sanchez Maya of "inciting violent acts
and obliging them to support the APPO
(Popular Assembly of the People of Oaxaca)".
It is important to point out that these same inmates declared
in a Dec. 31, 2006 press conference, that they were forced
to sign the letter mentioned above by a group of lawyers
headed by Josi Juarez in exchange for their release from prison.
The contents of this letter constitute a serious insult to the work
being carried out by human rights organizations during the ongoing
conflict in Oaxaca, and particularly against the Oaxacan branch
of the Mexican League for the Defense of Human Rights,
and its president Yisica Sanchez Maya.
The accusations contained in the letter, aside from being false
and hurtful, put at serious risk the work being done by civil society
to defend human rights in Oaxaca, and create a climate of hostility
and of threats, while attempting to legitimize violent acts
carried out by the State against this important sector.
In light of the current political conflict that Oaxaca is going through,
this letter is an ominous and perverse sign that adds to the confusion
here, particularly of the people who've been most severely damaged
by the crisis: those unfairly and arbitrarily detained during the serious
events of the past November 25. In addition, the letter reflects
a strategy to divide the popular social movement, of discrediting,
slandering and intimidation of organizations that defend human rights
- particularly taking into account the previous harassment and
threats already documented during the Oaxacan conflict.
We reiterate that the role of LIMEDDH and other human rights
organizations contributes to improving social and economic conditions,
reducing social and political tensions, and creating a peaceful
environment at a national as well as international level
for the respect of human rights.
The respect of human rights in a democratic state depend, to a
large degree, on effective and adequate protection of the same
rights of those whom are defending the human rights of others.
For that reason, we declare the following:
a) We openly support the serious and responsible work
of the Mexican League for the Defense of Human Rights,
and we recognize the commitment and path of its president,
Yisica Sanchez Maya.
b) We strongly reject this campaign of slander and dirty war
launched against defenders of human rights in Oaxaca,
a campaign marked by the intolerance, impunity,
and authoritarianism that continues to exist in the state.
c) We urge the Mexican State to take all necessary measures
to guarantee the physical and psychological security of defenders
of human rights, and particularly of members
of the Oaxacan branch of LIMEDDH.
We also demand an immediate investigation - complete and impartial -
- of the acts mentioned above, in order to identify those responsible.
d) We demand that the Federal and State governments respect
the rights and fundamental liberties, and establish measures that favor
the protection of defenders of human rights - in accordance with the
Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Pacts
and Conventions on Human Rights that have been ratified by Mexico.
e) We call on national and international human rights organizations
to continue to monitor closely these serious events in our state.

Act Against Torture
On January 11th, 2002, twenty hooded and shackled men shuffled off a
plane from Afghanistan, arriving at the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay,
Cuba. In an attempt to sidestep the Geneva Convention protections for
prisoners of war, the Bush administration created a new category of
"enemy combatant" for these men captured in the "war on terror."
Since that time, more than one thousand men and boys have been
imprisoned at Guantanamo. Accounts of cruel, inhuman, and degrading
treatment have been condemned by the United Nations, Human Rights
Watch and other reputable bodies. The prisoners have resorted to
hunger strikes as a way of protesting their treatment, and many have
attempted suicide; three men killed themselves on June 10, 2006. Fear
and desperation mark their confinement.
Five years later, not a single prisoner has been charged, tried or
convicted of any crime. January 11th, 2007 marks five years of unjust
imprisonment, isolation, beatings, interrogation and abuse. We say: no
more. We must say: no longer.
