"microsoft upgrade"

We recently got an email claiming to be a microsoft upgrade that had the
"W32.Swen.A@mm" virus. I wrote to microsoft about it and got a reply
telling me how to prevent email viruses with nothing about that
microsoft was going to try to locate and stop the hackers.

I realize that there are alot of these type of viruses but is microsoft
not trying to do anything about tracing and stopping them?

It is not up to Rolex to prevent you from getting a replica watch from a
fakir. So why is it up to Microsoft to become your personal police?

Actually, I'm sure rolex wants to stop fakes because it costs them money
- just as microsoft wants to prevent pirated software.

If I were a computer repair person and someone started going around
saying they were me in order to destroy people's computers, I would want
to stop them.
