When you "cut" a clip that is already on your storyboard, how can you
repair that "cut" and combine the clips together again?
I realize you can "undo" a cut - but I'm talking much later when going
back an "undoing" all your changes is not an option.
When I select both portions on the storyboard, the "Combine" option is
grayed out.

Observer article 9/March/1997
Fame at last! In an alleged book review in the Observer (Books p16), Jay Rayner writes about a "man called Bob"
(one of my many pseudonyms) in whom "a lot of people have shown an interest". Read and ponder!
Perhaps the Chinese curse "may you live in interesting times" could be re-worded into "may you be considered an
interesting person". Infamy, infamy, they've all got it in for me!

===================================
Seems to me that a large majority of problems
are occurring on systems that are not fully updated
and well maintained. I doubt if this will change with
Vista or any other OS.

MM2.1 was crashing upon startup. Per advice from papajohn.org posts, I
uninstalled IE7 and MM2.1 no longer crashes upon startup.
Happy New Year, everyone.

Anyone know why this is happening? As soon as I open MM2.0, a pop up appears
from "Plus! Product Activation Wizard" welcoming me to MS Plus! and asking me
to buy it. I hit cancel. Another pop-up appears from Plus! Activation Wizard
telling me that Plus! effects and Transitions for MM2 can't be started until
I buy it and activate it. It tells me to activate it and try again. I hit OK
(not to buy it, but just to get it off the screen), but then a Windows Movie
Maker pop-up appears telling me that it encountered a problem and has to
close. It asks me if I want to send an erorr report or not, then it just
closes. Anyone know how I can fix this?
thanks

After loading Movie Maker I suddenly get a message 'MM has encountered a
problem and needs to close'. The error report has an error signature
(moviemk.exe, AppVer: 2.1.4026.0 ModName: qedit.dll, ModVer: 6.5.2600.2180,
Offset: 0001b2af). I have no idea what this means, the message has been
popping up since yesterday, and I have not changed or downloaded anything.
Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks

I just added another page to my website... an overview of Movie Maker as we
move toward having versions now in Me, XP and Vista
It's the 'About Movie Maker' link on the main page... here's a direct one...

net magazine article March/1998
Britain's .net Magazine featured my website on page 17 of their March 1998 issue (number 42). They quote from the "FAQ"
pages, and also include some details of the evidence I have tried to present on my website.
The age of some of the material on the website shows in this review, which says the case "has been discussed in uk.*
newsgroups during the past year". At this time (March 1998) it has been discussed on uk.misc for three years, and there
are still occasional traces of the discussion going on.
