We are using Sandisk Ultra and Extreme series, 512MB, 1GB and 8GB.
Setting them "fixed" is done with a small commandline tool. In four
years of industrial usage no signs of degradation, and one 512MB card
failed completely. So far we are satisfied.

We are using Transcend. Just switched to the Ultra because the 45X
Industrial is onsolete with the Ultra Industrial replacing this line.
We have had no problems with these compact flash cards.
