Hi I'm new to xpe, I tryed a lot to build an image as I want but I have
serious problem with something!
1) Automatic logon: I need it for not enter everytime name and pw in the
booting image but i'm confused how to do it. I add the automatic logon and
administrator account components, than expand the adm component and write
down the username and pw, then I build but the image don't autologin... why?
Where I make mistake?
2) Problem with components... I build and image but I want to remove some
components like outlook express, so I remove , do the dep. check, see that it
is reput on it by "help and support component"... why this? how to remove it?
3) Templates: are they a complete system images or I have to manual put
other components to make them work? For example I need to have a...

1. Did you modify the automatic logon settings with the administrator and
password?
2. Components dependent on other components is something you have to trace,
and can take some time to figure out what needs to be removed.
Start small and grow the image big. Only include the necessary components to
boot the OS and run the application.
3. Only a few of the templates build based on a Standard PC onfiguration.
You should still run Target Analyzer (TAP.EXE) on the target hardware to
build up a configuration.

Ok I done, I really don't want an enviroment where I only have to make my
application working but I need a system with certain characteristic...
but finally I was able to build a working configuration... now I would like
to custom it, modify it to fit my needs and make something that don't work,
working...
I Have to ask something:

1) I have problem with the cd-rom drive: when I put a disk on it, the disk
speed up but when I try to open or to explore the content, windows return
this message: "windows can not read from this disk...

yes, but the problem still occurr!

I had other problems with the vga and display settings but I solved adding
the display manager support.
Deeping down in the image (I'm very happy to start having results!!!) I
suffer other problems:

5)As I told in point 1, not I can read the cd content, so now i put a cdrom
on it, trying to install the monitor video card drivers and software: click
on the Cd icon and I receive this popup :"this application has failed to
start because oledlg.dll was not found...reinstalling..." so oledlg.dll is
related to some components...know which?

I try to re-post, also because I can add some other infos on problems and I
fix some mistakes (bad english!!!)
