I have an application running on an XP embedded platform. The operating
system is protected from being accessed directly by starting the application
at startup and having to use a password to exit the app, gaining access to
the OS. Task Manager has been disabled so the process etc can't be manually
ended.
I have since discovered that if a multimedia keyboard is plugged in to the
PC, the internet hotkey starts internet explorer and from here the OS can be
accessed. I haven't installed any additional drivers, I assume that by
default, the standard keyboard driver allows the hotkeys to work.
Is there a component that I should be adding, or removing to prevent this.
Thanks.
