is it possible ot have XPe in spanish?

Date: Aug 20, 2008 05:01

I've added Spanish Language Support in my target designer with keyboards and
fonts and configured Regional Setting for using it.
Now my image works with spanish keyboard, time... but I would like to have
icons and Start menu in Spanish language, anyone knows if it is possible?

thank you

There are several language MUI packs that can be installed into the data
base. Spanish is one of the languages supported.

Do you know where can I download MUI packs? Link given on point number 1
doesn't work. I'm using SP2 with Feature pack 2007.

If you have the full release package, there are several CD that contain the
MUI packages. All you have to do is update the XPe database with the
appropriate MUI pack.

Otherwise you can download them from here:

I cannot find any download links on the specified MSDN download page,
or on the ECE

So Far I have been able to locate the following MUI files and
updates:

SP1 - Full Set - 2 MUI disks available
SP2 - downloaded - includes "Disk3" - no MUI resources
- or does the "database update" that you download with the
XPEFFI_SP2.exe downloader include MUI updates?

FP2007 - Includes MUI resources
Update Rollup 1.0 - Apparently no MUI resources are included with this
udpate.

Thanks
steve

To download the XPE SP2 MUI resources you obtain the XPEFF1_sp2.exe
"Windows XP Embedded Web Install Tool" from the ECE.

When you run that download tool, there is a button near the top that
says "MUI Packs". Clicking on that opens a different tab that allows
you to download SP1 and or SP2 MUI packs.
