Minlogon v Winlogon: HORM Resume time?

Author:
Date: May 5, 2008 23:08

Would using Minlogon allow for a fater resume via HORM than WinLogon?

System is standalone, not networked.
There are a number of USB devices (4) that are not loaded at hibernation and
so need to interogated as part of the resumption.
(We do this to add some reliability to teh system).
Two SATA hard drive are remounted at resumption as well.

Thx

  Pos.net in VB.Net 2005 application

Author: Alaa

I have created a POS system for franchise retailer shops and my final task is
to allow the shop operator to print a receipt and open the cash drawer and
display the total on a line display device if available.
Application written in VB.Net 2005 with access database as a back-end.
I have watched the tutorial movie clip on MSN and went through a lot of
posts and microsoft site but really could not get valuable information to
VB.Net
So, here are few questions I would appreciate if anyone can post a reply
which might help me to understand how to use Pos.net

Please note that I do not have any POS devices yet, still waiting for the
samples to arrive

1- Do I need to install POS.net on every single computer uses my POS
application, or can I distribute the required pos.net dll files only

[Newbie] Trying to make a CD

Author: Lloyd Dupont

I'm playing with the Target Designer and I have been able to create a target
(with the Target Designer), i.e. it has filled a directory with Windows,
Program Files, etc...

Now I would like to make a bootable USB key or CD.

Apparently for the CD we have to use HD2ISO but how could I get an ISO file?
I also tried to boot from USB with akey I: 1. "prepared" with udfprep.exe
and then 2. copied the file, it doesn't seems o work..

any tips?

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know whether there are any upper limits on the maximum number of
Ethernet ports or Network Interface Cards that you can use on an XP Embedded
system?

Thanks,

Two questions about WinPE 1.5 (Simplified XP)

Author:

Hi, there,

Does anyone know about WinPE 1.5?
I want to run my application from CD-ROM which has a bootable WinPE on it. I
got the following questions about it.

1. When WinPE boot up, the network seems not working. When I type
"ipconfig", the following error message shows up.
"The request is not supported"
Addtional Information: Unable to query host name.
I am a little confused. Why? Do I need to install the driver of my
network card? if yes, I have no idead how to do that.

2. My application need some free space on drive to run, but there is no free
space on X drive which is the CD-Rom drive letter. So I failed to run my
application from X drive.
I turn on the /inram option in build_tools/config.inf as following to
let it run in RAM, but this DOESN'T help. The free space on X drive is still
zero.
osloadoptions=txtsetup.sif,setupdata,"/fastdetect /minint /INRAM"

Anyone can help on that? Thank you so much!
